Ron Winegar- Retired Boise Police Chief

I have known and worked with Dotti Owens for many years. I always found her to be competent, professional and caring.

Dealing with some of the gravest tragedies and death scenesimaginable can take an immense toll on coroner's office employees. Dotti recognized that impact and has worked to provide the support needed to her employees, as well as survivors. She has the experience and ability to lead the Coroner's Office in Ada County with accountability, professionalism and vision for the future.

I never considered political affiliation to be important in the office of the Coroner-- investigating deaths should have nothing to do with politics--it is about facts, circumstances, and determining cause and manner of death. That's what was always important to us in the law enforcement world over the years I worked with Dotti. Competence and leadership should count for more than political affiliation.
